    THE LOST WORLD OF ANJAJAVY

    ANJAJAVY

    AN ISOLATED PENINSULA

On an isolated peninsula and enchanted on the northwest coast of Madagascar, Anjajavy le Lodge awaits your discovery.

Set along on sandy beaches azure waters and encircled by a fabulous forest reserve, Anjajavy reflects the rich diversity and untouched beauty of Madagascar and the natural warm hospitality of its people.

    A NATURAL PARADISE

Classified by WWF as a global priority in terms of conservation, the eco-region of deciduous dry forest of the north-west area of Anjajavy is a shelter to communities of rare and endemic faunal and floral species. Through its diversity, this natural environment is home to a great variety of plants and animals which are unique and harmless in some specific ecotypes. International naturalists know it, and few places in the world offer authentic contact with nature as intimate and safe as the Anjajavy peninsula.

    A PLACE OF TRANQUILITY

Scattered with small traditional villages, the Anjajavy peninsula also offers a harmonious social environment where nature is a socio-economic integration tool and a driving force for sustainable development. It is also a place of inner-peace, with no ostentation, a reflection of the kindness of its people.

AN ART OF LIVING AND RECEIVING

FOR THE PROMOTION OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT AND THE PROTECTION OF MALAGASY BIODIVERSITY
Since 2004, Anjajavy le Lodge has been a member of the Relais & Châteaux association, from which it was awarded the Environment Trophy and with which it deeply shares the values of excellence of the profession of hotelier-restaurateur.

Anjajavy le Lodge is cited as an example by the Relais & Châteaux association in the Manifesto for a better world presented in 2014 during the UNESCO Intangible Heritage Convention.

    • The best of Madagascar

The very best of our Madagascar experiences was at AnjaJavy on the western coast. What makes this hotel and resort special is the many things they get right, think: staffing, food, lodging and the blessing of beautiful surroundings – ocean, forests, Baobabs. We enjoyed copious sightings of lemur, birds, and wildlife. Special treats - we snorkeled amid healthy coral, and saw a Madagascar fish eagle. But it is the attentive and well-briefed staff that sets Anjajavy apart – waitstaff, housekeeping, maintenance and especially the guides were all first-rate. If you only have time for one Madagascar hotel/resort experience, this is the one I would recommend. The very best of our Madagascar experiences was at AnjaJavy on the western coast. • Beyong Amazing

You had to fly to just come stay at the lodge! How cool is that?! The villa was very nicely designed and were facing the beach. The service by the staff was exceptional and full of nice smiles! There were plenty of water activities to keep you busy throughout your stay. It was just an experience I believe that no other place has - a combination of a relaxing beach holiday and a semi wildlife scene. I would just want to give my thanks to the reception for their kindness and helpfulness throughout our stay. This was our highlight at Madagascar. Review on TripAdvisor
    • Enchanting

We loved everything about this property. The location was magical. What made it special was the courteousness and charm of all the staff. The meals were exceptional. The choice of excursions was immense. Wish we could have stayed longer and taken in more of the activities. We were lucky to be there when you held a special traditional dance performance for the guests, and to visit the local village on Sunday market day. Everything I wanted to experience in Madagascar was achieved: see the lemurs, see the baobab trees, see tsingy, and meet the villagers, and more. Enchanting island!

    • The Most Amazing Holiday for our family of 9

It's quite difficult to add anything to previous reviews. We wanted a very special holiday for our family ages 8 to 80. Where could we go that would provide seclusion, wildlife, beaches etc so we could spend a Christmas together to remember? A much-travelled expert at Rainbow Tours said there was only ONE place to go at that time of year. Having read all the reviews and sounded out the family, we all said "It can't be that good but we're prepared to give it a try".. and yes, you've guessed. It was even better! How can we thank the management team, the guides, the many staff at Le Lodge who gave us the biggest welcome and most wonderful wildlife, food and entertainment and every possible courtesy and convenience known to adventure travellers. The terrain was sometimes rough, the storms ferocious and the wild seas challenging but we had a ball with performances by local children and older members of the village and special Christmas treats. Perhaps its greatest achievement and charm is the way the local villages are part of the Lodge. Employment, good health and education for all are a priority plus conservation in the best sense of the word. Development, planning for the future and the sustainability of bio-diversity over several hundreds of hectares of pristine ocean and forest are in evidence wherever you roam - freely and at leisure. The tranquillity of the stunning Oasis Garden where humans and sifakas ( lemurs) come for tea is food for the soul as well as the body. If you are lucky enough to visit, you will never be the same again. Thank you so much Le Lodge team for giving us the time of our lives. We will never forget you.   Review from TripAdvisor
